It is currently taking 6-8 weeks to process passport applications via your local Embassy/Mission.

Your application is transferred by electronic means to the Dublin Passport Office where the Passports are produced. Information on the status of your application will only be available on the tracking system when processing begins in the Dublin Office.

To track your individual passport application, enter your application number in the box below.

You will find your application number on the top left hand corner of the passport application form, directly below the barcode or on the receipt issued to you at the Embassy or Consulate.

When the on-line tracking reports that your passport is Printed you should allow 3 to 4 days from the day updated for dispatch and delivery to your local Office/Embassy.

Should you use this service before your application is being processed in Dublin you will get the following message "application number xxxxxxxx cannot be found". This message is also received if you enter an incorrect number.

This information system is not a real-time system but it is updated at intervals during the day, it is advisable, therefore, to check periodically before contacting your local Office/Embassy
